MOTOR DISMANTLING PROCESS

From scrap motor to recovered copper

These are the key stages of motor stator recycling with dismantling machines. Stator and rotor recycling lines use a separate crushing-and-separation route.

01 · HOUSING REMOVAL

Open the motor

Remove the housing to expose the stator.

02 · CUTTING

Prepare the stator

Cut winding ends or split the stator for extraction.

03 · WINDING EXTRACTION

Recover copper windings

Separate the windings using jaws, clamps or a push-rod.

01 / Small Motor Recycling

Small stators: compare two extraction methods

Mini BSC and Mini BST both cut the winding ends before removing copper. Compare their copper extraction methods and diameter shown below.

Mini BSC · 8-jaw extraction

A crescent blade cuts one end of the windings; an 8-jaw puller extracts the coils. For stators below 120 mm in diameter.

Mini BST · hydraulic push-rod

A crescent blade cuts one end of the windings; a hydraulic push-rod removes the coils. For stators up to 200 mm in diameter.

03 / LARGE MOTOR RECYCLING

Large motors: choose the operation you need

The scrap motor stator and rotor recycling lines crush scrap stators and rotors, then separate copper from iron through multiple sorting stages. The videos below show the equipment in operation. BSM-50 Motor Cutting Machine

BSM-50 uses a flat blade to open motor housings and a sharp blade to split stators in half. 

BSM-30 Copper Winding Puller

BSM-30 pulls copper windings from stators below 500mm in diameter.

BSM-70 Winding Removal Machine

BSM-70 uses clamping jaws and a lifting platform to separate copper windings from motor stators. 

BSM-40 Motor Cutting & Pulling Machine

BSM-40 combines a small cutter with three pulling units, which can remove copper windings out from stator up to 500mm. Each of front part can work with the rear hydraulic clamp at the same time.

BSM-100 Motor Recycling Machine

BSM-100 combines winding cutting and copper extraction in one machine.

01 · Feeding

Stators and rotors from dismantled electric motors are prepared for crushing. Material size must match the line’s feeding requirements.

02 · Crushing & Separation

Hammer mill breaks apart stators and rotors, magnetic separator removes iron, while air separator and vibrating tables help separate copper out.

03 · Recovered Copper & Iron

Copper and iron are collected separately after processing. Confirm the required capacity and contact us.

If your motors still have their housings, remove them before stator cutting and copper extraction. If you already have bare stators, this step is not needed. Videos that begin with bare stators show the process after housing removal.
