The hydraulic shear cutting machine, also known as the alligator shear, is widely used in the scrap metal recycling industry. It efficiently cuts large and long waste metal materials into desired shapes and sizes, saving space and simplifying transportation. The AS-1600 model is a medium-sized machine with a maximum cutting force of 1600 KN and a blade length of 700 mm. It has a powerful motor and a hydraulic system for reliable performance. Additionally, in locations without electricity, the machine can be powered by a diesel engine, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

In May 2023, this customer sent us an inquiry. His metal recycling station had a batch of round steel with a diameter of about 60mm, which was very long and took up a lot of space. He needed a shearing machine to reduce their size. After further discussion, we found that he also needed to process large steel plates. According to his requirements, we recommended the AS-1600 hydraulic shear-cutting machine. This customer attaches great importance to machine performance and soon decided to cooperate with us after learning about our machines. Before delivery, we shared the trial run video of the machine, and he felt very satisfied. After receiving the machine, he praised its efficiency again and again. AS-1600 hydraulic shear cutting machine is a user-friendly machine that is easy to operate and you can freely set the machine for single or continuous shearing.
To operate, place the material on the cutting platform. You can use the control panel by pressing the buttons in the following sequence:
*Pressure - Shearing - Pressure Loosen - Back.*
Alternatively, you can step on the foot pedal for a more streamlined process.
1. The press cylinder will first secure the material, followed by the blade performing the cut.
2. Once the cutting is complete, both the press cylinder and blade will automatically return to their open positions, ready for the next operation.
Put the machine button in the continuous cutting position, and the machine will automatically cycle through the process of press cylinder fixing, blade cutting, and returning to the opening state.
Before starting the equipment, ensure that all moving parts and the directional valve are in their default positions. Check the oil level in the cylinder, and if it is abnormal or insufficient, promptly refill or replace the oil as needed.
Before daily operation, apply lubricant to all lubrication points and oil cups. Every six months, remove the motor bearings for cleaning and apply calcium-based grease. Additionally, inspect and service the pressure gauge every six months.
In winter, if the oil temperature drops below freezing, take appropriate measures to raise it. If the oil temperature exceeds 70°C, stop operation immediately. The oil temperature can be monitored on the level gauge, as extreme temperatures—whether too high or too low—can damage the equipment.
To ensure optimal performance of your equipment, it is essential to maintain the cleanliness of the hydraulic system.
After each day’s operation, please cut off the power cord to avoid damage to the equipment caused by prolonged power supply.
